Are you ready to spend a cozy weekend with like minded knit and fibre people at the historic Hotel de la Chaux d'Abel ?The hotel is located off the beaten path, on spacious grounds in the middle of country fields. Some twenty rooms looking onto the Jura Bernois, each with its own personality, are enhanced with a touch of nostalgia and charm. The hotel is accessible by public transport on the scenic Jura train system with a free pick up from the train station by pre-arrangement.

Accommodation options are Single Room, Double Room w/sink or Double Room with ensuite bathroom/toilet. On each floor there are two shower rooms (with two enclosed Shower cubicles), two separate WCs and two bathrooms with bath and sink.
Retreat Cost includes the following.
You will be welcomed on Friday (checkin is after 15h00) to your room where an interesting Gift Bag awaits you
An Apero will be served at 18h00 on Friday before sitting down to a delicious 3 course dinner in the beautiful restaurant
Access on Saturday morning to "Stretching for Makers" class
Free Entry to the Yarn market on Saturday afternoon
Informal sharing of knitting and other fibre arts, techniques and tips via "breakout sessions"
Hike or Scenic train journey or Snowshoeing for non-knitters (A packed lunch can be pre-ordered the evening before)
Another delicious 3 course dinner will be enjoyed on Saturday evening and will feature a yarn related Quiz with prizes
Checkout is before 11h00 on Sunday
For Saturday lunch, you can chose to eat in the restaurant or a pre-order a sandwich lunch (12 CHF), that can be eaten onsite or packed for any non knitters that opt for an external activity. Coffee and cake can be ordered on demand.

Yvonne is a passionate knitter and textile artist who was inspired by past retreats held in her native Ireland to bring this event to the Swiss Jura where she now lives.
Recently retired from a career in IT Change Management & Communications, knitting and textile art form an ever growing part of her life, allowing her to dedicate more time and energy to her small enterprise, Towser Textile Art.
